The mission of Friends of the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum is to promote and to preserve the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum in its work to document, interpret, and present the folk heritage of the Blue Ridge region.

For more than 50 years, the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum has worked to document and preserve the folk heritage of the Blue Ridge region, building an extraordinary collection of artifacts alongside more than 70,000 photographs, documents, books, and recordings.

BRIM is more than a museum. It is a living record of life in the Blue Ridge: preserving the stories, traditions, and experiences of generations while providing an invaluable resource for research and education.
